Divine Visitation for Healing the Nations

Written by Uyoyou Christiana Charles-Iyoha

When God visits His people, it is usually for the purpose of blessing them; meeting their needs; fulfilling His unfailing promises to them;; enlarging their coasts; giving them joy for ashes; removing shame and reproach from their lives; and raising them from the dust and ash heap positions of life in order to sit them with royalty.

Beloved, God is good; He is kind; He is rich in mercy, love and compassion. When He visited Sarah, the wife of Abraham in Genesis Chapter 21 verses 1 to 3, it was to fulfill His promise to them that Sarah would bear a son. Though Sarah was old, she conceived and bore Abraham a son, Isaac. Isaac means laughter, implying that God had given Sarah and Abraham laughter in their old age and significantly, they did not stop laughing until their time on planet earth was up. They laughed loud and longest; more than those who probably laughed at them in the past because they did not have their own biological children then.

God visits His people to bring joy, laughter and happiness in order to remove anguish from their hearts and tears from their eyes. Hannah, the mother of Samuel suffered untold mental abuse at the hands of Peninah simply because she did not have children. But all of that came to an end when Hannah rededicated her life to God and asked God for a son. The Bible records that Hannah remembered her vow and fulfilled it immediately by returning Samuel to God. God was pleased and visited Hannah. She bore three sons two daughters and significantly, only Hannah’s children are recorded in the genealogy of Elkanah. Please read 1st Samuel Chapters 1 and 2 for details.

The Bible also records that God visits His people to bless them with abundant bread so that famine is eliminated from the land. Elimelech and Naomi and their two sons left Bethlehem for Moab because there was a famine in Judah. Unfortunately, Elimelech and his two sons died in Moab. Bereft of her husband and her two sons, Naomi chose to return to Bethlehem when she heard that God had visited His people and given them bread. Please read Ruth Chapter 1 verses 1 to 6.

God also visited the widow of Nain and removed tears and anguish and sorrow from her life. He raised her dead son who was about to be buried back to life and the people acknowledged and proclaimed that God had visited His people. Please read Luke Chapter 7 verses 11 to 17.

Zacharias’ prophecy in Luke Chapter 1 verses 67 to 79 speak volumes of God’s redeeming love and salvation when He visits His people. To start with, Zacharias who had been dumb following the conception of his son John opened his mouth and prophesied on the day John was named. First, Zacharias acknowledged that God had visited His people bringing huge packages of redemption, salvation and deliverance from their enemies; knowledge of salvation and remission of sins as well as light to guide His people in the way of peace so that His people would serve Him without fear. And when eventually Jesus Christ came; God visiting His people in the flesh, all of these came to pass so that you and I are partakers of His great redeeming love, mercy, compassion, favor and blessings.

The essence of divine visitation then is the removal of satanic barriers, limitations and blockades designed to keep believers stuck and sorrowful so that they do not make progress in divine purpose; they live in fear and bereft of the Presence and joy of God. But when God in His mercy and compassion visits His own, there is a release of freedom and deliverance to be all God created His own to be.

Beloved, I pray that God in His infinite mercy, compassion and love will visit you and members of your family for good in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and that His holy Presence and awesome power will be restored in your life so that you will be His unique vessel for bringing His healing unction to the nations and your neighborhood in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. May God to Whom alone all power belong equip and strengthen you to take back every border the enemy stole from you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and; may you and members of your family and His Church be His favored  ones at all times in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Shalom.
