Minister to Heal the Nations 2

Significantly and this is quite instructive; ministry is not struggling for positions but rendering of divine services to humanity. Please read Luke Chapter 24. This means that ministry is about impact. Ministry is about doing good to the people. What this implies is that there is much more ministry outside the walls of the Church. Please read John Chapter 5 verses 17 to 19, 30, 2^nd Corinthians Chapter 8 verse 9. You can confidently say that you are in ministry when lives are positively impacted for Christ, when lost souls and nations receive healing and deliverance from the divine services you render to them in your ministerial capacity through the preaching of the word and other services you provide. True gospel and ministry is backed with signs and wonders and these are needed today on account of the challenges being faced in the world today. Therefore, seek after lost souls, preach the truth and people will turn to God.

As ministers, God is in everyone. Your gift is your ministry. You have to discover the gift of God in you, develop it and use it for the glory of God. Please read Ephesians Chapter 4. Everyone has ministry and there are levels of ministry.  Some people may have more gifts than other people but the focus should be on deploying the ministry gifts to bring healing to the nations and the peoples of the nations.  

All ministry gifts should work together.

Minister to Heal the Nations

Anyone blessed with and called into the fivefold ministry is a Minister of God and has divine capacity to bring God’s healing to the nations and peoples of the world by the help of the Holy Spirit. The fivefold ministry which constitute the leadership gifts of the Church are divinely designed by God to provide leadership and direction by His Spirit. The fivefold ministry includes Apostle, Prophet, Teacher, Pastor and Evangelist.

An Apostle is a person with special ability to provide authoritative leadership to several Churches; they are also pioneers who plant Churches everywhere there is a need for a Church. An Apostle is always moving forward, gives direction, is highly mobile, and plants churches to  hand over to pastors. They go planting Churches and providing leadership; they are not satisfied with one Church, they provide leadership and direction to a cluster of Churches. The Apostle Paul is a good example. He not only planted several Churches, he also trained competent people to lead the Churches and in the process peoples and nations were saved and healed from the oppression of the enemy. You can deploy your apostolic gift for the healing of the nations who are in dire need of the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ but are living in denial because the enemy has so blinded them.

Prophet is a ministry gift. A prophet is a person with supernatural ability to interpret the word of God into a current situation in the Church and the nations. A prophet brings solutions, edifies, corrects and strengthens the Church and the nations with the word of God. The New Testament Prophet interprets the Scriptures. The Church cannot survive without the ministry gift of the Prophet. Please see 1^st Samuel Chapter 9 verse 9. The New Testament Prophet is actually a person who understands the Scripture more than anyone; interprets the Scriptures in the light of the present situation to edify, correct, educate and rebuke the Church. God does not always give messages of doom but when He does, it is for you to do something about the situation. Moses prayed about God’s judgment on the Israelites. Please see 1^st Corinthians Chapter 12.

The Old Testament Prophet spoke the mind of God and only spoke when God speaks to them. But the New Testament Prophet is different. God has spoken to His Church through the Scriptures. A Prophet must prophesy but the manifestation gift of prophecy can come upon anyone. Prophets are happy when they hear from God.

God is Restoring the Nations 2

Restoration, repentance, holy living, prosperity, Jeremiah, Ezra, Haggai, Zechariah, nations, peoples, families, individuals, communities can be healed and restored if people return to God, repent of their sins and focus on what God wants them to do in life.

In the absence of knowledge, darkness prevails. Darkness is death; loss, problems, challenges, lacking understanding, falsehood, sorrow and pain. Darkness limits, restricts, imprisons, and is a precursor to bitter labor, unprofitable labor, forced labor, wandering and instability. In situations of darkness, people do things because people are doing things that way irrespective of whether what they are doing is right or not. Darkness wins when the knowledge of God is not there. Unfortunately, a number of nations and a great number of peoples are living in darkness, darkness borne out of ignorance of God and the knowledge of the Word of God. Such ignorance breeds rebellion against the word of God, depisement of the counsel of the most High God as well as outright rejection of God. Psalm 107 verse 11. This is what the Bible refers to as spiritual blindness.

However, when knowledge is present, the true knowledge of God and His word, darkness disappears. This implies that one of the ways God heals nations is to take the veil of spiritual blindness out of the eyes of the spiritually blind so that they can see Jesus and His glorious light for the healing of the nations. It is called the opening of the eyes of the blind. Please see Psalm 146 verse 8, Luke Chapters 4 verse 18, 24 verses 31, 45, Isaiah Chapters 35 verses 4 to 5, 42 verses 1 to 7, 16, 29 verse 18, 9 verse 2, 2 verse 5; John Chapters 1 verses 1 to 9, 12 verses 35 to 36, 46, 8 verse 12, 10 verse 21; Matthew Chapter 4 verses 13 to 16, Micah Chapter 7 verse 8.

God is Restoring the Nations 1

When the Lord restored the fortunes of[a] Zion,    we were like those who dreamed.  Our mouths were filled with laughter,    our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations,    “The Lord has done great things for them.” The Lord has done great things for us,    and we are filled with joy.  Restore our fortunes, Lord,    like streams in the Negev. Those who sow with tears    will reap with songs of joy. Those who go out weeping,    carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy,    carrying sheaves with them. Psalm 126 verses 1 to 6.

I am restoring the years you have sown in tears is a line in a song I love so much more so when the Bible corroborates this in several passages of Scripture. Please see Joel Chapter 2 verses 18 to 29, Jeremiah Chapter 32 verses 36 to 44, Ezekiel Chapters 36, 37.

There is more to God than the Savior. He is also the Healer, Provider, Defender, Strength, Protector, Guide, etc. He is also the Restorer Who brings about restoration to His people. God’s restoration is usually multi-dimensional and spans the spiritual, physical, material, marital, financial, intellectual and in as many other areas that you can think of. This implies that God brings about restoration in every area of life. Significantly, His restoration often doubles; triples, quadruples and compounds whatever losses were suffered in the past.

Joseph is a classic example – the years of servitude and being a prisoner in Egypt paid off as Prime Minister in Egypt. That is why he named his first son Manasseh, meaning that God made him forget the toils, shame and indignity of slavery he suffered for almost twenty three years of his life.

Jabez got double blessings from God for the reproach he suffered on account of the name his mother gave him. Jabez’ blessings are what you could describe as an indeed blessing, the type of blessing that showcases a person, family, communities and nations. Such blessings also bring about uncommon favor, sustainable generational wealth, speed and increase on every side.

Safeguard Measures for Healing the Nations

As much as possible, avoid confrontation, strife and conflict as you work with the Holy Spirit in bringing healing to the nations. Sometimes, situations and circumstances can get real stormy. The safe and wise thing to do is always respond as God would always want you to respond; and not as the flesh would want you to respond. For instance, a situation may not be pleasant but God through His word says to give thanks in everything rather than to complain and murmur. People may hurt you real bad and the fleshly option is to strike back but wait a minute, the Bible says forgive and let go. No wonder the Biblical option for resisting the devil is to submit to God. Please read 1^st Peter Chapter 5 verse 9.

Also, stay away from areas of conflict. Jesus avoided the Pharisees and Sadducees who attempted to kill him before his time. Please read John Chapters 11 verse 54, 10 verses 39 to 42.

David fled from Saul when he realized that Saul was determined to kill him. Please read 1^st Samuel Chapters 18 verses 9 to 11; 19, note verses 9 to 24, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27 for details and Holy Spirit inspired understanding and wisdom. David only returned to Israel after the death of Saul. Therefore, run when you have to run and fight when God wants you to fight.

David also fled from his son Absalom when Absalom attempted to usurp the throne and threatened David’s life. 2^nd Samuel Chapters 15 to 18. David and his ran not because they were afraid of Absalom but Absalom took them unawares and they needed to go think and prepared for war. When eventually David and his men were prepared, Absalom and his men paid the supreme price for their rebellion.

Speak Healing to the Nations

And now I commend you to God [placing you in His protective, loving care] and [I commend you] to the word of His grace [the counsel and promises of His unmerited favor]. His grace is able to build you up and to give you the [rightful] inheritance among all those who are sanctified [that is, among those who are set apart for God’s purpose—all believers]. “Now I’m turning you over to God, our marvelous God whose gracious Word can make you into what he wants you to be and give you everything you could possibly need in this community of holy friends. Acts 20:32 The Message (MSG)

Take conscious deliberate steps to ALWAYS be a blessing to humanity through the words you speak or write. This is because words whether spoken or written are powerful and make huge impacts on people. If your words impact people positively, then you are a city set on a hill which cannot be hidden.

The Bible describes pleasant words as health to the bones because pleasant words are like a honeycomb which brings sweetness to the soul. Please see Proverbs Chapter 16 verse 24. You can be used greatly of God to bring healing to the world by and with words you speak. Please read 1^st Corinthians Chapter 12 verse 9, Proverbs Chapters 15 verses 30, 2, 7 and 12 verse 18, Revelation Chapter 22 verses 1 to 2, Ezekiel Chapter 47 verses 1 to 2.

Words which bring comfort, peace, edification, exhortation and encouragement have the capacity to bring healing to wounded hearts and hurting people. Please read Romans Chapter 10 verse 15, Isaiah Chapters 52 verses 7 to 9, 50 verses 4 to 5, and 61 verses 1 to 4; Luke Chapter 4 verses 17 to 19. Proclaim good news, good tidings, such as the word of God and the attendant benefits of the word of God so that the hearts of people who hear you will be guided by the word of God. Additionally, considering that the word of God has the capacity to build people up and give them an inheritance among the saints, you would have raised an army, a very great one for God through your utterances and writings. Acts Chapter 20 verse 32, Isaiah Chapters 52 verses 7 to 9.

Therefore, speak to the strengths of people. When you speak to the strengths of people especially by the Spirit of God, you inspire them to be who God created them be. This is because they are stirred up spiritually, mentally and physically to achieve. They also get to believe in God and themselves and their self esteem is heightened to be the best God created them to be. Gideon is a classic biblical example. Referred to as the mighty man of valor whom God was with; Gideon with the help of the Holy Spirit progressively became a warlord who defeated the Midianites and ended their oppression of Israel.

The Significance of Prayer

Jesus Christ gave believers a prayer template. Please read Matthew Chapter 6 verses 5 to 15 and Luke Chapter 11 verses 1 to 4.

For healing – James chapter 5 verses 13 to 18, 19 to 20, 2^nd Kings Chapter 6.

To ask for forgiveness of sins – Psalm 51, Nehemiah chapter 1 , Ezra Chapters 8 verses 21 to 23, 10, Daniel Chapter 9, Exodus Chapter 32 verses 30 to 35, 1^st Samuel Chapter 7, note verse 6, 2^nd Chronicles Chapter 33 verses 12 to 19, 1^st John Chapter 1 verses 8 to 10.

To give thanks and praise as well as worship and adoration to God; for Who He is, His loving kindness and faithfulness to humanity.

To reverse evil situations and evil descendancies  - 1^st Chronicles Chapter 4 verses 9 to 10, 2^nd Kings Chapter 2 verses 19 to 22, Acts Chapter 12, Esther Chapter 4 verses 16 to 17.

Prayer is diligent work. Jesus Christ often withdrew into the wilderness to pray. He even spent a whole night in prayers, about twelve hours. This speaks of focus and concentration, to be alone for that length of time praying, undisturbed and  not distracted. Also, Jesus’ choice of prayer time as well as prayer venue is very strategic and instructive. He woke up early in the morning; before daylight to pray. This is very significant and instructive.

He chose the very early hours of the day to start off the day in the Presence of God as well as avoid distractions and being disturbed; solitary places, again to avoid distraction. This means that prayer is a regular activity. It is not a one off activity.  Please read Luke Chapters 5 verse 16, 6 verse 12, Mark Chapter 1 verse 35. The Bible counsels to continue steadfastly in prayer in Romans chapter 12 verse 12 as well continue earnestly in Colossians Chapter 4 verse 2 and to labor fervently in prayers in Colossians Chapter 4 verse 12.

What to pray about is also significant, in point of fact very significant. The will of God should always be prayed for and about. Please read 1^st John Chapters 5 verses 14 to 15, 3 verses 22 to 24, Ephesians Chapter 5 verses 17 to 18, Romans Chapter 12 verses 1 to 2. The how and content can be found in Luke Chapter 18 verses 9 to 14.

There is a difference between called to pray and driven to pray. Called to pray is a calling in which prayer is a way of life. It is the norm for the person called to pray to always pray irrespective of what the circumstances are. S/he prays because prayer is a fellowship between the person and God. In such instances, prayer topics and prayer items are usually determined and decided by God. That is to say that prayer items are the needs of God, dropped in the heart of the person who prays. S/he therefore prays the will and needs of God.

Communicate Success to Heal the Nations

Avoid the use of negatives. As much as possible, use positives anytime you communicate whether it is verbal or non verbal communication. People generally flock to people who speak and act positively and; avoid people who speak and act negatively. That explains why motivational speakers and preachers attract large audiences. Nobody likes to hear or see negative things. Only people who enjoy negativity, people who do not see any bright side to life would want to see or hear that. However, it is significant to note that depressed people who hear and see positive things become transformed. This implies that positive communication brings about healing and positive transformation. Please see Proverbs Chapter 15 verse 30.

A person’s tone also communicates success.  A gentle tone for instance reflects the peace, love and compassion of God in the heart of a person. On the other hand, a harsh tone, to a large extent is a reflection of the inner turmoil of the heart – envy, anger, jealousy, bitterness, hatred, and refusal to forgive. Sarcasm is a manifestation of spite, envy, resentment, jealousy and hatred. It is intended to hurt, wound a person, group of persons, and organizations with words and tone. A sarcastic person never sees good in other people. Therefore s/he does not want the happiness of other people and will always deliberately choose sarcasm as a way of speech. Both words and tone reflect the anger and resentment in the person’s spirit and mind. Such people do not communicate success.

A vengeful and vindictive person is likely to always communicates judgment and evil from God because a vengeful and vindictive person always want people who have offended him or her to pay for what they done. Such people usually have no room in their hearts for forgiveness and letting go. Their communication often creates fear, worry and anxiety. On the other hand, e a very compassionate and forgiving person communicates mercy, forgiveness, grace, abundance, creativity and wealth; success, miracles and a healthy reverence and respect of and for God. Such communication frees up people to heal internally and externally in addition to help them become creative by the Spirit of God. It is not surprising that most judgmental people are vengeful and vindictive especially when they keep harping on judgment.
